2013 Anaheim 3 SX Race Report

February 5th 2013

For round five the series headed back to Anaheim for the final time this year. Despite being a bit overcast the weather was warm and it looked like racing conditions would be near perfect for the evening. However just before the main events, temperatures began to drop and rain began to fall, making a already slick track even more difficult.

Practice
The 450 practices had most of the regulars up front in laps times. James Stewart set the fastest lap in timed practice, second fastest was Ryan Villopoto. Josh Grant surprised everyone by posting the third fastest time with Davi Millsaps posting the fourth fastest.

For the 250’s Eli Tomac posted the fastest time, Ken Roczen was second, and Rockstar Energy Racing’s Jason Anderson was third.

While Tomac looked strong and ready to bounce back from last weeks upset in the 250’s, Villopoto also appeared to be ready to close the points gap in the 450 class.
