ONE Industries Race Report: High Point Mt. Morris Pennsylvania

Ryan Dungey is on a mission this season. First he clinches the 450
Supercross series Championship in his rookie season on the big bikes
and now he is showing that he is just as strong outdoors. Ryan
followed up his win in Texas last weekend by winning both motos at
High Point to claim the series points lead. Dungey grabbed the
holeshot in the first moto but was passed by JGR's Josh Grant. Josh
lead the moto until Dungey bagan to apply pressure to the Yamaha
rider. Grant went down but re-mounted in 2nd place and held off Team
Honda's Andrew Short for 2nd in the moto. ONE Industries team rider
Tommy Hahn and Ben Townley battled all moto long before Tommy made a
mistake and crashed to finish the moto in 11th. Florida's Matt Goerke
rounded out the top five in moto one.

Moto two looked like it would be Team Red Bull / Honda rider Andrew
Short's first ever moto win but Dungey was too strong. Ryan reeled in
and passed Short before pulling out a comfortable lead that he would
carry all the way to the finish line. Short held on for second
followed by Geico Powersports Brett Metcalfe.  Chad Reed had bike
problems on his Monster Energy Kawasaki and was not able to finish
within the top ten over-all. Josh Grant also suffered from a flat
front tire in the second moto and finished 24th.

The 450 over-all results from High Point had Ryan Dungey winning with
1-1 moto scores. Andrew Short finished 2nd with 3-2 moto scores and
Brett Metcalfe grabbed the final spot on the podium with 6-3 moto
scores.

The 250 class had to deal with rain showers causing the track to be
really rough and hard to ride. Ricky Carmichael always called Mt.
Morris "Mud Morris" due to the frequency of rain at this event. This
weekend's conditions were not nearly as bad as they have been in
years past but it was still extremely difficult to race on.
Christophe Pourcel grabbed the holeshot in moto one but was quickly
passed by Geico Powersport's Justin Barcia. Muddy conditions usually
favor the "steady as you go" approach but Justin Barcia attacked the
track and won moto one while Christophe Pourcel who typically is a
very good mud rider struggled. Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Tyla
Rattray battled to 2nd place followd by ONE Industries team rider
Blake Baggett. Baggett rode a great race to put his Rockstar Suzuki
on the podium for moto one.

Christophe Pourcel found himself at the front of the pack again in
moto two and this time put his skills to use to win the moto. Tyla
Rattray caught his team-mate Pourcel and looked to be a little
quicker but did not need to pass to capture his first over-all win.
Tyla followed Pourcel to finish second ahead of Blake Wharton. The
podium was in line to have an all Monster Energy / Pro-Circuit
Kawasaki finish before Dean Wilson fell late in the moto
relinquishing his chance to grab the spot. The ride of the day came
from Geico Powersports rider Trey Canard. Trey fell early in the
second moto and was able to race from a spot outside the top 30 to a
solid 4th place in the 2nd moto.

The 250 over-all results from High Point found Tyla Rattray in first
with 2-2 moto scores, Christophe Pourcel finished 2nd with 4-1 moto
scores and Blake Wharton finsihed 3rd with 8-3 moto scores.

A special congratulations goes to ONE Industries Team Rider Blake
Baggett for earning a 4th place over-all via 3-9 moto scores.

The Outdoor Series heads to Budd's Creek Maryland next week for round
number 4 on June 19th. We will see you there, check back here next
